Zimbabwean football has been plunged into mourning after the tragic death of Highlanders chairman Kenneth Mhlophe, Vice Chairman Sifiso Siziba and treasurer Nkani Khoza in a road accident along the Harare -Bulawayo road on Thursday night.
The fatal road accident occurred about 60 kilometres outside Bulawayo, after their Ford Raptor was involved in a collision with a bus.
The vehicle reportedly hit a cow before veering into the path of the oncoming bus resulting in a head on collision which left the trio and an unidentified woman trapped in the wreckage.
The Highlanders officials were on their way back from Kariba, where Highlanders lost one-nil to ZPC Kariba in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match on Wednesday.
