VICE President Cde Kembo Mohadi, who is in Malawi, visited Croc-Nile Crocodile farm and Lake Malawi in Salima district this Saturday.
He was accompanied by Malawi’s Minister of Tourism, Honorable Vera Kantikile, Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Malawi, Dr Nancy Saungweme and other government officials.
After touring the two tourism facilities, Vice President Mohadi held a meeting with Honorable Kantikile at Sunbird Waterfront, where he emphasised the importance of collaborations between the two countries in marketing their tourism products.
Croc-Nile is one of the largest Crocodile farms in Malawi, with more than 10 000 crocodiles kept for their premium skins for export and meat.
Lake Malawi is also regarded as the jewel in the nation’s tourism crown.
The two countries have been working closely in various sectors of the economy, including tourism, given the shared history, culture and availability of natural resources.
