As part of the recapitalisation drive by Government, the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation has received a consignment of vehicles and equipment sourced from the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion, Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services and a private partner to enhance operations at the national broadcaster.
Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister, Dr Jenfan Muswere said government is upbeat the consignment will steer ZBC in the right direction of profitability, while delivering on its mandate to inform, educate and entertain the citizenry.
The Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion contributed US$2 million, a private partner US$100 000 and the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services US$86 000.
