ZANU PF President and First Secretary, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa is presiding over the ZANU PF Women’s League National Assembly meeting at the Party’s Headquarters in Harare.

The meeting is expected to set the tone for the role of the Women’s League in shaping the party and advancing the country’s vision of an upper-middle-income economy by 2030.

According to the ZANU PF Secretary for the Women’s League, Cde Mabel Chinomona, the Assembly will reflect on key empowerment projects spearheaded by the League, including poultry hatching initiatives and the distribution of sewing equipment.

These projects, she noted, are beginning to bear fruit, particularly in rural communities, where women have become active participants in economic development.

The outcomes of today’s meeting are anticipated to influence the League’s programme of action for the remainder of the year and into the next phase of the country’s national development agenda.
