THE ruling ZANU PF party has taken its cell verification programme to Hwange District, with growing its membership high on the agenda.
Cell verification is being prioritised by the ruling party as it is key to assessing their membership and growth.
An inter-district meeting held at Hwange Colliery Club saw Politburo members, Advocate Jacob Mudenda, and Cde Tino Machakaire emphasising the importance of the exercise and how young people are a critical demography of the ruling party.
“The young people have always been very important to the party and government. We thank them for their support and that is why we always put up empowerment programmes that also benefit them immensely,” Advocate Mudenda added.
“This is an important exercise which should be done in the district of Hwange. While they are lagging behind, we encourage them to move and regularise their cell membership. It is an exercise which must include all key stakeholders,” Cde Machakaire said.
The ruling ZANU PF party is on a robust developmental agenda, with youths in Matebeleland North recently receiving trucks for identified business ventures, with some going into cattle ranching after another similar programme launched in the area two years ago.
