YOUNG Zimbabwean innovators connected with real-world opportunities at the ZITF Innovation Forum, which wrapped up this Wednesday.
The platform was an opportunity for the government to amplify its support for youth showcasing their talent.
From sustainable agriculture to technological advancements, the innovations offer a glimpse into a bright future inspiring the creativity and drive of Zimbabwe’s youth as they present solutions to world challenges.
“We appreciate this innovation forum in the sense that it connects us to real-world business and opportunities,” a student said.
“Be it I win or not, the experience is invaluable and that is what is critical about this innovation forum,” an innovator said.
“The Innovation forum has been the game changer, I was here last year and seek improvement,” a young inventor added.
The belief in fostering a culture of creativity and providing opportunities for young innovators to thrive has been amplified by leaders.
“We have been doing this for four years and our aim is to make sure that youth have the apparatus to innovate and stir development,” Executive Head Innovations, Mr Patrick Maseko said.
“Our thrust at ZITF 2025 is having tertiary institutions and students going above just innovation but to benefit out of them and meet the market,” Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education Innovation Science and Technology Development, Permanent Secretary, Professor Fanuel Tagwira said.
The passion, creativity, and potential on display offer a promising outlook for the nation’s future in addressing national problems.
