ZIMBABWE’S Sables have been drawn to battle England, Wales, and Tonga in Pool F of the 2027 Rugby World Cup set for Australia.

The draw was conducted in Sydney this Wednesday.

The team qualified for the global stage after defeating Namibia 30-28 in the 2025 Rugby Africa Cup final.

Zimbabwe returns to the Rugby World Cup after a 36-year absence, with their previous appearances being in 1987 and 1991.

The Sables will be looking to make an impact in the expanded tournament, which will feature 24 teams competing across six pools.

The 2027 Rugby World Cup will be the largest in the sport’s history, with the top two teams from each pool progressing to the knockout stages, along with the four best third-placed teams.

The tournament will take place from October 1 to November 13, 2027, in Australia.
