President Mnangagwa mourns Minister Mavima’s mother

PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has mourned the passing on of Mrs Theresa Mavima, mother to Professor Paul Mavima, who is the Minister of Skills Audit and Development.

In a statement issued this Thursday, the President said Gogo Mavima succumbed to kidney ailment at West End Hospital.

“I have learnt with deep sorrow and sadness of the passing on, late yesterday, of Mrs Theresa Mavima, mother to our Honourable, Professor Paul Mavima, Minister of Skills Audit and Development,” reads the statement.

“Gogo Mavima succumbed to kidney ailment at West End Hospital. The news of her passing on came to me as a shock, as Gogo Mavima was reportedly fit for her age and condition, and went about her chores as always and full of life and hope.

“Losing a loving mother is always painful, moreso when she is the surviving parent to whom one looks up for inspiration and guidance.”

The President extended his deepest condolence message on behalf of the party, ZANU PF, Government and his family.
