PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa, who is in Baku to attend the United Nations Climate Conference (COP 29) has met with Zimbabweans living there.
The President had an interactive session where he explained strides made in various sectors of the economy while calling for citizens living abroad to be proud of their roots and continue playing their part in building the country’s economy.
President Mnangagwa highlighted that government has consistently prioritised the education sector including investing in new infrastructure, training more teachers and regularly updating curricula to ensure the education sector aligns with the evolving needs of the society and economy.
The President is expected to have a meeting with industrialists this afternoon as Zimbabwe continues to seek foreign direct investment.
