HARARE-PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has handed over 60 vehicles one for each of the country’s 60 agricultural districts in a move aimed at boosting the efficiency and performance of the agriculture sector.
Additionally, he presented 30 grain carriers, with 20 allocated to the Grain Marketing Board (GMB) and 10 to the Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (ARDA).
Highlighting the central role of agriculture in Zimbabwe’s economy, the President stressed the importance of empowering the sector through increased resources and capacity building.
He also underscored the need for well-trained, committed personnel to drive the country’s agricultural vision forward.
In further support of agricultural development, President Mnangagwa handed over 6 000 Starlink-enabled portable energy stations, which will be used by agricultural extension officers to enhance service delivery and connectivity in remote areas.
