A hospital stay took a dramatic turn for Taona Dzimbo (40), who was arrested at Sally Mugabe Central Hospital on October 5 for stealing copper pipes.

Dzimbo, admitted with a fractured leg, was caught vandalising examination lights and attempting to remove copper components. Police recovered 45 pieces of copper pipe, each 20 centimetres long, along with an aluminium pipe from his hospital locker.

He is currently under police guard at the hospital as investigations continue.
