ZIMBABWEAN batsman Brian Bennett has been nominated for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s Player of the Month award for September, following an impressive run of form.

Bennett racked up 497 runs in nine T20 internationals at an outstanding average of 55.22, cementing his status as one of the Chevrons’ rising stars.

After topping the charts in series against Sri Lanka and Namibia, he carried his form into the ICC T20 World Cup Africa Final, scoring 72, 65 and 111 in his first three innings.

Bennett’s consistency at the top of the order was vital as Zimbabwe qualified for the 2026 T20 World Cup.

The 21-year-old Bennett is shortlisted alongside Indian batter Abhishek Sharma, who scored 314 runs in September, as well as spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who picked up 17 wickets last month.

A select group of media representatives from across the world vote for the winner.
