Ngezi Platinum set for showdown with AS Miniema of DRC

ZIMBABWEAN champions, Ngezi Platinum Stars are determined to make the country proud when they take on AS Miniema Union of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in the first leg of the CAF Champions League set for the Heroes Stadium in Zambia this Saturday.
Ngezi Platinum Head coach, Takesure Chiragwi believes his team is ready for battle.

“We are fighting for the Ngezi Platinum Stars jersey and the country at large, I think we have a competitive advantage, our league has been active and our opponents have been off-season,” he said.

Their opponents believe the strength of their league will be key for them.

“We are coming from a stronger league and I believe we have prepared well for the encounter and we will be ready tomorrow,” said AS Miniema coach, Papy Kimoto.

Ngezi have no injury worries in camp, while their opponents will miss the services of their captain, Sefu Masumbuko.
