Ndlovu back at the helm as Highlanders CEO saga drags on

BULAWAYO giants, Highlanders Football Club, have re-appointed committee member Kindman Ndlovu as Acting Chief Executive Officer, a week after his resignation.

Ndlovu, who had stepped down citing internal strife within the club, has since reconsidered his decision following engagements with Highlanders Executive Chairperson, Mr Kenneth Mhlophe.

In a statement released this Tuesday, Mr Mhlophe confirmed that Ndlovu had withdrawn his resignation and extended an apology to the club’s treasurer, Mr Nkani Khoza, whom he had previously accused of fuelling divisions within the organisation.

“Mr Ndlovu has retracted his resignation and apologised to the treasurer, Mr Nkani Khoza,” read part of the club’s statement.

However, sources within the club revealed that the board and executive remain at odds over the final shortlist for the substantive Chief Executive Officer position, a matter that continues to divide opinion among Highlanders’ leadership.
