THE Zimbabwe senior men’s national football team, the Warriors, have received a major boost after the arrival of captain Marvelous Nakamba, who has joined the team ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

Nakamba has opted to come earlier than the stipulated FIFA international release window of six days.

Dynamos captain Emmanuel Jalai, who has recovered from injury is also part of the team in camp ahead of the AFCON tournament, which kicks off on the 21st of this month.

The Warriors have also been bolstered by the addition of goalkeeper Takudzwa Chikosi and striker Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya.

Goalkeeper Martin Mapisa has, however, been excused for undisclosed reasons.

The Warriors are in Group B alongside Egypt, Angola and South Africa.
