A major fitness and entertainment extravaganza is set to light up Harare at the end of the month, all in the spirit of Movember, the global campaign raising awareness on men’s health, fitness, and mental well-being.
With the government declaring war against drug and substance abuse, the Musabvunda Fitness and Wellness Festival promises to be more than just two days of workouts, fun and a bold statement encouraging men and young people to channel their energies away from the scourge and towards positive, healthy lifestyles.
Set for November 29 and November 30, the event will feature endurance challenges, group fitness sessions and exhilarating performances by several artists, including Nisha Ts, all designed to inspire participants to find healing and balance through movement and music.
“Movember is not just about growing moustaches, it is about growing stronger physically and mentally. We want to create a space where people can unwind, talk about mental health openly, and replace negative coping habits like drug use with fitness, fun, and community,” event coordinator, Kudzai Pasipanodya said.
Organisers say the blend of high-energy workouts, live performances, and open mental health conversations aims to help, especially the youth, channel their energies towards fitness and wellbeing.
