THE Kingdom world tour concert in Zimbabwe featuring American gospel outfit, Maverick City lived up to its billing as the international stars gave a memorable performance on Monday night.
As part of their world tour, Maverick City was at the Glamis Arena in Harare Monday evening where they left no crumbs, putting up a spirited performance.
The gospel outfit which rose to fame during the COVID-19 pandemic dished out some of the songs of hope that kept many alive during the lockdown period.
Together with Nigerian star Tim Godfrey, Maverick City ushered gospel lovers into an ecstatic moment with the performance of Godfrey’s hit song ‘Big God’ being among the major highlights.
Following a conflict prior to the show that led to local supporting acts pulling down, Kirk Franklin during his performance took time to address his audience on what he believed.
“I had there was talk before we came here on what we believe in. I would tell you the answer is Jesus. When you go back home just know that there is no other than Jesus,” he said.
The show was Maverick City’s debut performance, while Kirk was performing in the country for the second time after more than a decade.
After the performance in Harare, the outfit is now set for another gig in Ghana as it completes its world tour.
