THE ruling ZANU PF party has reaffirmed infrastructure development as a central pillar of its political and national development agenda, emphasising the need for functional, well-resourced provincial structures to support effective coordination.
This focus was highlighted on Saturday during the commissioning of newly constructed provincial offices in Matabeleland North, a project officials described as both symbolic and practical in strengthening the party’s organisational capacity.
Built at a cost exceeding US$200 000, the offices are expected to serve as a central administrative hub for provincial operations, hosting meetings, records and mobilisation programmes.
ZANU PF Matabeleland North Provincial Chairperson, Cde Richard Moyo, said the new building reflects the party’s drive to align its infrastructure with its message.
“The most critical time came when the president gave us US$100 000 as Provincial Chairpersons, we just dedicated every cent to completing our offices so that when we even tell people to join ZANU PF, we know what they are witnessing,” he said.
ZANU PF National Political Commissar, Cde Munyaradzi Machacha, said the construction was in line with the party’s longstanding posture on national development.
“ZANU PF wants to demonstrate what it says practically. We are known for advocating for national infrastructure development, and we are leading by example.”
ZANU PF Secretary General, Cde Jacob Mudenda, described the initiative as part of a broader directive to strengthen provincial structures across the country.
“This came from a call by our leader, President Emmerson Mnangagwa, that all provinces must have their offices. We are witnessing that today, and it is an exciting moment for all party members,” Cde Mudenda said.
Now completed and fully-equipped, the offices are expected to play a critical role in ensuring all activities and records are simulated efficiently with modern political trends.
