ZIMBABWE’s Judges, Justice Rita Makarau and Moses Chinhengo have been appointed to serve in the Namibian Judicial Service.
The Namibian Judicial Service Commission announced this Wednesday that Justice Makarau, together with fellow Zimbabwean, retired Justice Chinhengo, were appointed following recommendation of the President of the Republic of Namibia, Dr Hage Geingob.
Justice Makarau will be Acting Judge of the Supreme Court of Namibia from 1 April to 31 March 2024, while Justice Chinhengo will be Acting Judge of the High Court from 18 September 2023 to 31 December 2023.
Justice Makarau is currently serving as Judge of the Constitutional Court in Zimbabwe, while retired Justice Chinhengo is currently serving as Acting Justice of the Court of Appeal of the Kingdom of Lesotho.
