INDIA have named a youthful 15-man squad, captained by Shreyas Iyer, for this month’s three-match Twenty20 International series against Zimbabwe in Harare.
The visitors have combined experienced players with emerging talent, with Tilak Varma appointed vice-captain, while wicketkeepers Ishan Kishan and Prabhsimran Singh return to the national setup.
The touring party also includes 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who impressed during this year’s Under-19 World Cup in Zimbabwe, alongside Abhishek Sharma, Rinku Singh, Shivam Dube and Varun Chakaravarthy.
The three-match T20I series will be played at Harare Sports Club on 23, 25 and 26 July.
Zimbabwe are expected to announce their squad after the conclusion of the ongoing ODI series against Bangladesh.
