MASVINGO will host the Carling Black Label National Pool Finals on July 11, with 80 of the country’s top players set to compete following the conclusion of nationwide regional qualifiers.
The finalists, drawn from 31 qualifying regions, will battle for the men’s and women’s national titles, with the overall winner set to receive US$2,500 and a pool table.
This year’s expanded qualifying programme attracted increased participation from players across Zimbabwe, underscoring the sport’s growing popularity and competitive depth.
Tournament sponsors, Delta Beverages, said the standard of competition continues to improve, while participation by women has recorded steady growth, reflecting the sport’s expanding appeal nationwide.
