Highlanders prefers underdog tag

HIGHLANDERS head coach, Hendrik Pieter de Jongh, is opting for the underdog tag ahead of Bosso’s clash with Herentals in a rescheduled Chibuku Super Cup first round match set for Nyamhunga Stadium on Sunday.

Bosso lost to Herentals in both league encounters this season, and the Bulawayo giants are approaching the match with caution.

“Tough game because it is an away game and the opponents are having a good game in the league. However, a cup game is a cup game. There should be a winner at the end. Anything is possible. Herentals are favourites if you look at the season and how many points they have its a 50-50 situation, but we will see what we will do. We need to be realistic, it’s not about me, but we will do our best despite the conditions in Kariba,” De Jongh said.

The Dutch coach has overseen two matches since his re-appointment, and Bosso have collected four points in those encounters after securing a draw and a win.
