Bulawayo giants Highlanders have kicked off their pre-season without five key members of the squad whose contracts ended last year.
Bosso, who have gone for 18 years without winning the Premier Soccer League are faced with another rebuilding exercise after senior players dumped the club.
The Bulawayo giants will have to go back to the proverbial drawing board after they kicked-off their pre-season training without five senior figures.
Captain Ariel Sibanda, who has already surrendered the club vehicle has not pitched up since Monday when the medical examinations started, and the vice-captain Peter Mudhuwa who is being courted by new-boys Scottland has also been missing.
Last season’s top marksman Lynoth Chikuhwa has already signed for Scottland while Marvelous Chigumira is also heading to the capital after bidding farewell to the club.
Utility player Godknows Makaruse has also not turned up for the clubs’ medical examinations ahead of physical training scheduled for next week.
Goalkeeper Sibanda reportedly turned down an offer to hang his gloves and pursue coaching in the club ‘s developmental side.
The club refused to comment on the current situation with club spokesperson Nozibelo Maphosa only willing to focus on the Annual General Meeting set for the 27th of this month.
