The High Court has postponed ruling in the matter where Harare businessmen Mike Chimombe and Moses Mpofu are applying for their fraud case to be referred to the Constitutional Court.
Justice Pisirayi Kwenda deferred the ruling to Thursday on the basis that he had not finished preparing the ruling.
Mpofu and Chimombe applied for their case to be referred to the Constitutional Court, arguing that it was before the wrong court.
The duo raised 17 constitutional issues claiming that their constitutional rights had been violated.
They also challenged the legality and validity of their continued detention among other issues.
The state opposed the duo’s High Court application arguing that Chimombe and Mpofu have failed to prove any constitutional issues that arose during the current proceedings.
Chimombe and Mpofu are accused of fraud involving more than US$7 million in a goat supply tender scam.
They allegedly forged documents for their company, Black Deck Private Limited to secure the tender issued by the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development.
