THE Midlands town of Redcliff has received fire tenders in yet another confirmation that Devolution Funds are transforming communities for better.
The fire fighting trucks are part of the 133 fire tenders acquired from Belarus by President Emmerson Mnangagwa through devolution funds.
The Redcliff community is excited by the development which is meant to safeguard property and lives.
Redcliff constituency’s legislator Honourable July Moyo said, “I want to thank our visionary leader for the acquisition of such utility vehicles. As a constituency, we are blessed to have such vehicles which will come in handy in fighting the outbreak of fires. We are indeed witnessing Vision 2030 in motion.”
“The President is proving that he has people at heart. Our properties are now safe with these fire tenders. This is great development in our area,” said a Redcliff community member.
Another added, “We are very grateful to our President for always remembering us. His vision is very clear. He means development and we are well off with his direction.”
The Midlands Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Honourable Owen Ncube says the Second Republic will continue to implement life changing programmes in line with the inclusive development agenda.
“As we approach the conclusion of NDS (1) and the dawn of NDS (2) in 2026, I wish to applaud the Second Republic for transforming the economy and livelihoods of communities through bold, robust and transformational programmes and projects despite unrelenting hybrid warfare by our detractors in the form of decade-long illegal economic sanctions, misinformation and disinformation through mainstream and social media. In this endeavour, innovation, modernisation, and industrialisation of the economy leveraged on heritage-based thrust, engagement and re-engagement, rural industrialisation, Education 5.0, private sector -led investment and public sector reforms to transform Zimbabwe’s socio-economic landscape,” he said.
The devolution programme which was introduced by the Second Republic in 2019 has proven to be a game-changer across the country with local authorities improving service delivery.
