ZIMBABWE’S entertainment scene is set for a vibrant weekend, with a diverse line-up of concerts and live performances expected to draw music lovers across the country.
In Harare, gospel musician Mathias Mhere will headline activities at East End Hall at the Showgrounds on Saturday, where he is scheduled to launch a new album and record a live DVD.
The event is expected to feature some of the country’s leading gospel artistes, including Janet Manyowa, Everton Mlalazi, Joyful Praise Choir, Larry Gunda and Takesure Zamar, among other guest performers.
Bulawayo music fans will be treated to a nostalgic experience at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Hall, where Legends Night will see the Intotal Band perform classic hits in tribute to Zimbabwe’s musical icons.
In Mutoko, urban grooves enthusiasts are expected to flock to Dhana Leisure Centre for the Swagger Muchando event, headlined by popular musician Chillmaster.
Mashonaland West will also be in the spotlight as award-winning singer Feli Nandi takes her Road to Fill Up HICC campaign to Odyssey in Kadoma. She will share the stage with Jnr Spragga as she continues preparations for her upcoming major show.
The weekend festivities begin on Friday night in Chegutu, where Tocky Vibes, Hulengende, Jnr Spragga, Voltz JT and Malloti are expected to deliver an energetic line-up in what promises to be a lively curtain-raiser.
With gospel, urban grooves and classic Zimbabwean music all on offer, revellers across the country are set for a weekend packed with entertainment.
