Eight teams battle relegation as Highlanders and Dynamos face uncertainty

THE Castle Lager Premier Soccer League is heading for a nail-biting finale, with eight teams locked in a fierce battle for survival and only three relegation spots left to fill.

All eyes will be on Highlanders and Dynamos, two of Zimbabwe’s most illustrious football clubs, as they enter the final round of fixtures facing the real threat of relegation, a scenario rarely associated with the giants of local football.

Dynamos will seek a win against FC Platinum at Rufaro Stadium, needing just a point to secure their top-flight status.

Chicken Inn and Highlanders have everything to play for, as a loss will spell disaster for either of the two teams.

At the Green Fuel Arena, Green Fuel must win to guarantee safety, while Triangle United can breathe easy with a draw.

Triangle’s nine-goal advantage over Yadah keeps them safe unless Yadah wins and Green Fuel loses.

In the other match, Bikita Minerals will hunt for a victory to survive as they take on Manica Diamonds at Sakubva Stadium.  Manica Diamonds go into this match with less pressure, as a draw or a narrow loss will still secure their place.

The tension is electric, with Yadah FC facing an uphill battle against Simba Bhora, requiring a win and a favourable result elsewhere to survive.
As the final whistle blows, the fate of these teams hangs in the balance with eight teams looking to pull off a miraculous escape.
