Chipinge man accused of killing wife over contraceptives

A 29-year-old man from Chipinge has been charged with murder after allegedly killing his 47-year-old wife following a domestic dispute over birth control pills.

Felix Maphosa appeared in Court this Thursday charged with murder.

It is alleged that the accused confronted his wife on why she was taking birth control pills without his knowledge.

Further allegations are that he went on to strike his wife with the iron bar three times on the head before hammering a nail in her chest.

The court heard that he left her wife for dead and went on to spend the night at a beerhall.

He was remanded in custody pending trial.
