NEWLY appointed Chicken Inn head coach Tonderayi Ndiraya is set to travel to Spain for a two-week training attachment at top-flight La Liga side Villarreal CF, as the Bulawayo-based club steps up preparations for the upcoming Premier Soccer League season.
The development was confirmed by Chicken Inn secretary-general Tavengwa Hara, who said the attachment forms part of the club’s broader strategy to strengthen its technical capacity ahead of the new campaign.
Hara said the exposure will provide Ndiraya with valuable insight into modern coaching methods, tactical organisation and high-performance systems, which the club hopes will translate into improved competitiveness.
Meanwhile, the Gamecocks are set to resume pre-season activities on Monday, beginning with mandatory medical examinations for players as the technical team assesses squad readiness.
As part of their build-up, Chicken Inn are also scheduled to undertake a pre-season bonding tour of Botswana, aimed at fostering team cohesion and sharpening match fitness ahead of the new campaign.
The club narrowly avoided relegation last season and is seeking a more consistent and competitive showing under Ndiraya’s leadership.
