THE Chevrons will be hoping to rediscover their form when they take on Namibia in a three-match T20 International series that bowls off this Monday at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.

Zimbabwe’s preparations for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier enter their final stages, and this series is seen as a vital platform to fine-tune strategy, sharpen execution, and rebuild confidence.

Although recent results have been disappointing, the Chevrons are determined to turn the tide.

A strong performance against Namibia could be just what they need to boost their confidence and set the tone for the qualifier.

Surprisingly, Namibia have dominated the two teams’ recent meetings, with the Chevrons winning four of the last 11 encounters between the two sides.

Soon after the series, the two teams will shift focus to the 2025 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier, scheduled for Harare from September to October 4.

The top two teams from the event will earn tickets to the 2026 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.

Zimbabwe will be hoping to make a strong impression.

With Namibia, Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Uganda in the mix, the competition is expected to be fierce.
