Charamba impresses on Diamond League debut

ZIMBABWEAN sprinter Makanakaishe Charamba made an impressive Diamond League debut following a third-place finish in the men’s 200m race at the Stade Louis-II in Monaco, France, this Friday.

Charamba came in third in a star-studded field that featured Olympic champions Letsile Tebogo of Botswana and American Noah Lyles.

Lyles secured the win in 19.88s, closely followed by Tebogo (19.97s) in second and Charamba in third position with a time of 19.99s.

The Diamond League is an annual series of elite track and field competitions comprising fifteen meetings.
