THE body of national hero Cde Luke Mushore will be airlifted from Centenary this afternoon to Charles Gumbo barracks in Harare, where it will lie in state ahead of burial at the National Heroes Acre tomorrow.
Mashonaland Central Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Honourable Christopher Magomo urged the people of Mashonaland Central to come in their numbers to bid farewell to the hero.
Government has availed 14 buses to transport mourners to the National Heroes Acre.
Speaking at the Mushore home on Saturday night, Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Honourable Kazembe Kazembe thanked the government for giving the local community an opportunity to pay their last respects to the veteran politician.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa will preside over Cde Mushore’s burial at the National Heroes Acre this Monday.
