A man from Buhera who sexually abused a 14-year-old girl from his village has been slapped with a 20-year jail term after being convicted of rape.
The State managed to prove that the convict broke into the complainant’s house where he raped the girl while her younger siblings watched.
The girl was babysitting her siblings aged five and seven while their mother was doing errands away from home.
The girl’s siblings cried out for help, attracting neighbours’ attention, and prompting them to hunt for the perpetrator.
