THE body of National Hero Brigadier General (Retired) Michael Chaminuka has been flown to his rural home in Hurungwe.
The body was flown to his rural home from Charles Gumbo Barracks Saturday morning.
It is expected to be taken to Foliot farm in Karoi, where it will lie in state.
On Sunday, the body will be flown back to Harare ahead of the burial set for Monday at the National Heroes Acre.
Brigadier General Retired Chaminuka died on Saturday last week after a short illness and was declared a national hero.
He is survived by his wife Lilian and five children.
