AFRO-fusion musician Andy Muridzo has made headlines for all the right reasons after issuing a public apology to his mentor and superstar, Jah Prayzah, following years of verbal attacks.
The music industry has been abuzz, not for a new release, but for this significant development in which Muridzo appears to have finally buried the hatchet with the man who launched his career.
Muridzo left Jah Prayzah’s Military Touch band in 2017 and subsequently criticised his former mentor publicly.
Over the years, while Jah Prayzah’s career flourished, Muridzo’s trajectory has been more subdued, leaving him seemingly in the shadow of his mentor’s success.
In a bid to make amends, Muridzo released a song as a public plea, asking the nation to support him in apologising to Jah Prayzah for his past behaviour.
In a heartening response, Jah Prayzah has accepted the apology, taking to social media to assure his former protégé that there are no hard feelings. He encouraged Muridzo to embrace the musical talent within him as he moves forward.
