The stage is set for the Kingdom World Tour Zimbabwe where American Gospel outfit Maverick City will perform in Harare tonight at the Glamis Arena in Harare.
The gospel group which has been touring the world together with gospel heavyweight Kirk Franklin is already in the country and has promised a memorable show.
“We are so excited to be here and I know the grace of God will pour in. Expect a lot of songs from us,” said Maverick City member, Chandler Moore.
Franklin is excited to be performing in the country for the second time and shkird with local media how he has managed to stay in the game for decades.
“ Zimbabwe I’m back. When i saw Zimbabwe on the list of the countries we were touring i was the most excited. I’m happy to perform again even though it has been a long time,” he noted.
Nigerian Worshipper, Tim Godfrey who is also set to perform tonight believes it will be a memorable show, “It’s a dream come true for me to be here. I will say please come and see the hand of God tonight.”
Maverick City rose to fame during the COVID-19 pandemic and have since gone international in the past few years.
Their much anticipated concert will also see local acts including the Joyful Praise Choir and Ezekiel Paul also performing.
