SADC ministers and officials convene in Harare

SENIOR Treasury, Central Bank, and Health officials from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) have convened in Harare for a week-long series of meetings aimed at strengthening regional economic cooperation and harmonising socio-economic development policies.
The meetings bring together senior officials to enhance collaboration on fiscal and monetary policy, as well as health financing and investment across the region.
Delegates are expected to review progress on macroeconomic stability, strategies to stimulate economic growth, and financing requirements for the health sector.
The forum also provides an opportunity for member states to share experiences and best practices on growth-oriented policies, sustainable development and resource mobilisation to promote regional prosperity.
The meetings began with senior Treasury officials focusing on deepening regional economic integration, attracting investment and improving resource utilisation to support development projects.
