Minister Mutsvangwa recognised as Africa Ambassador for women’s empowerment

THE Minister of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa, has been honoured for her leadership in championing women’s empowerment and advancing women’s participation across all spheres of society at the ongoing Eurasian Women’s Forum in Russia, ahead of the official opening of the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Senator Mutsvangwa’s recognition as Ambassador for Africa in matters of gender equality and empowerment underscores Zimbabwe’s active engagement in global dialogue on inclusive development, as well as the role of women in shaping policy and enterprise.

The Eurasian Women’s Forum is a major international platform that brings together women leaders from across the world to deliberate on sustainable development, international cooperation, health, and economic welfare. The forum has supported more than 3 500 women through various empowerment initiatives.

Held triennially, the gathering convenes parliamentarians, politicians, scientists and business executives to develop global solutions, with its core mission centred on building a stable future through trust, openness and cooperation among nations.
