ZIMBABWE’S rising young talent is set to shine on the international stage, with 10-year-old Mini Miss Global Zimbabwe, Kaleisha Chiyaka, preparing to represent the country at the 4th Edition of the Kids and Teens Global Pageant in Kuala Lumpur.
The global competition will run from this Sunday to April 10, bringing together more than 40 contestants from across the world.
Kaleisha, who departs this Friday, says she is ready to showcase Zimbabwe’s rich culture, tourism and heritage, while also using the platform to advocate for children’s rights.
Speaking ahead of her departure, she expressed confidence and pride in representing Zimbabwe on the global stage.
“I will be showcasing our culture. I promise to bring the crown back home and make the nation proud. I started modelling at a young age and I would love to continue modelling part-time in the future, although I also aspire to become a gynaecologist,” she said.
Beyond the runway, Kaleisha said her participation carries a strong social message, as she seeks to raise awareness on children’s rights and speak out against abuse, child marriages and exploitation, while supporting vulnerable and underprivileged children.
Her participation is expected to further elevate Zimbabwe’s global profile, while inspiring young people to pursue their ambitions and use their talents to drive positive social change.
