THE Zion Christian Church (ZCC) is set to establish its first school and church in Mashonaland Central Province, marking a significant expansion of the denomination’s footprint in the region.
The development was announced on Sunday during a church service and groundbreaking ceremony held in Glendale officiated by ZCC leader Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi and the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Mashonaland Central, Honourable Christopher Magomo.
The new centre, to be known as Mbungo 4, is expected to combine religious, educational and community functions, reflecting the church’s growing involvement in social development initiatives.
Officials said the project aligns with Government’s infrastructure development thrust and is anticipated to improve access to education while enhancing the provision of spiritual and social services within the province.
Once completed, the facility is expected to serve congregants and surrounding communities, contributing to broader national efforts to expand educational infrastructure and community-based development.
