ZIMBABWE’S private sector is meeting with the Government to discuss the 2026 National Budget, which was presented last month.

The engagement provides an opportunity for private sector players to present input and proposals to Treasury, including possible reviews of some of the fiscal measures contained in the budget.

The Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion, Professor Mthuli Ncube, is expected to outline the country’s 2026 fiscal plan during the discussions as industrialists from different sectors of the economy are providing input on key economic enablers to consolidate gains and facilitate a people-centred budget.

Under the ZiG$9.5 billion 2026 national budget, Treasury is projecting a 5 % economic growth rate, while unveiling several revenue-generation measures with a strong emphasis on fiscal discipline.
