Warriors resume AFCON preparations

ZIMBABWE’S national football team, the Warriors, will regroup for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) preparations in Harare this Monday afternoon, as training intensifies, focusing on fitness and tactics.

This comes after the squad had been given a short weekend break.

More foreign-based players are expected to join the camp, including vice-captain Teenage Hadebe, who has arrived from the United States.

The focus is now on rigorous work to sharpen the team’s physical condition, tactical understanding and on-field combinations.
The clear objective, set by the coaching staff, is to advance past the tournament’s initial group phase.
