PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has returned to Harare from Luanda, Angola, after participating in the 7th African Union-European Union Summit, which concluded on Tuesday.
The two-day meeting brought together African and European Heads of State and Government to review progress in the AU-EU partnership and discuss areas of expanded cooperation. This year’s summit marked 25 years since the establishment of the formal AU–EU partnership.
President Mnangagwa, who delivered an address during the summit, underscored the need for enhanced investment in infrastructure development to boost Africa’s connectivity and competitiveness within global value chains.
On arrival at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, he was welcomed by Vice President General (Rtd) Dr Constantino Chiwenga, Service Chiefs and senior government officials.
