THE Speaker of the National Assembly, Advocate Jacob Mudenda has joined his colleagues at the Conference of Speakers of National and Regional Parliaments in Midrand, South Africa.
The conference, hosted by the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) is being held under the theme: Transforming Parliaments for Citizen-Driven Continental Integration, Sustainable Development, Prosperity, Peace, and Africa’s Role on the Global Stage”.
It is one of the major highlights on the PAP annual calendar with the focus this year on digital transformation driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and operationalising the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The PAP, made up of legislators representing all the African countries, is led by Chief Fortune Charumbira.
