THE Zimbabwe developmental team has won bronze at the 2025 Africa Genesis Archery World Tournament which ended in Namibia this Saturday.
The curtain has come down on the 2025 Africa Genesis Archery (AGA) Federation World Tournament in Walvis Bay, Namibia, after four intense days of high-stakes competition.
Zimbabwe’s participation was marked by mixed results, with encouraging signs of growth and potential despite falling short of top honours in the team events.
With Zimbabwe sending two teams to the tournament, it was the developmental side that managed a podium finish after settling for a bronze medal.
“We are pround of the developmental side after finishing third behind hosts Namibia and Canada and it shows good signs in terms of the development of the sport in the country,” said Zimbabwe Archery Team coach, Simon Allot.
Zimbabwe entered the tournament with high hopes, and top archers Andrew Manning and Riyaan Patel delivered standout performances, with each shooting above their personal bests.
