Harare teenager arrested for attempting to sell human foetus

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in Harare after allegedly attempting to sell a human foetus he claimed was beef.

The suspect, identified as Stelly Marecha, is in police custody following his arrest at the corner of Mbuya Nehanda and Albion Streets in the capital’s Central Business District.

According to a police statement, Marecha reportedly discovered the foetus wrapped in a black plastic bag discarded in a bin at the busy intersection.

He is said to have approached a 27-year-old man, offering the remains for sale under the guise that it was meat.

The bizarre incident led to the immediate arrest of Marecha.

Meanwhile, the police are appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of the suspect responsible for disposing of the foetus.
