PLATINUM Royals maintained their top spot in the Women’s Premier Soccer League after a thrilling 2-1 win over Correctional Queens at Mandava Stadium today.
Ennerty Chemhere broke the deadlock in the 35th minute and Ropafadzo Madorobadi doubled the lead just before halftime.
Although Correctional Queens fought back, they could only manage a consolation goal through Kudzai Chiparaushe in the 85th minute, leaving Platinum Royals to claim a 2-1 victory.
In other matches, Black Rhinos Queens thrashed Harare City 4-2, while Chapungu Queens walloped Black Mambas 4-nil.
Kwekwe Queens suffered a narrow 1-nil loss to Conduit Academy.
