46-year-old Admore Kangwende under Chief Bvute in Mberengwa district will rue the day he raped a 14-year-old girl from the same village after he was sentenced to 30 years behind bars by Zvishavane regional magistrate on two counts of rape.
Circumstances are that on the 10th of July 2024, the girl was with her young brother when the convict came to their home wielding an axe and ordered her to enter into a house where he raped her once.
Kangwende is said to have repeated the criminal act the following day using the same modus operandi.
After the incident, the accused threatened the children with death if they revealed the matter to anyone.
The matter came to light after the mother of the girl inquired upon noticing some behavioural changes in her, leading to the arrest of Kangwende.
A medical report was produced in court as exhibit.
