2nd session of 6th PAP opens in SA

The second ordinary session of the sixth Pan African Parliament gets underway this morning in Midrand, South Africa, where delegates from across the continent are expected to deliberate on peace and security issues.

Climate change is also on the agenda with the 3rd African climate policy and equity engagement slated for the 15th and 16th of May.

The session will be guided by the AU theme: “The year of AfCTA: Acceleration of the African Continental Free Trade Area Implementation”.

Pan African Parliament President, Chief Charumbira is expected to speak on the opening day, while President of the Union of Comoros, His Excellency Azali Assoumani will officially open the session.
