ZIMBABWE School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) Ordinary Level examination results for 2025 will be released this Friday at midday, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Professor Torerayi Moyo has announced.
In a statement on the microblogging site X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, Prof Moyo said the release of the results marks a key milestone in the country’s academic calendar and reflects continued improvements in the administration of national examinations.
He commended ZIMSEC for maintaining high standards of professionalism and transparency throughout the examination process, noting that the timely publication of results demonstrates growing efficiency within the education sector.
“The timely release of results is a testament to the strides we continue to make in strengthening our Education sector,” he said.
The Minister said the integrity of Zimbabwe’s national examinations remains a priority for the Government, as credible assessments are central to building confidence among learners, parents and institutions of higher learning.
Thousands of candidates who sat for the 2025 Ordinary Level examinations are expected to access their results through official ZIMSEC channels once the results are released at 12 noon.
The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has reiterated its commitment to improving service delivery in the education sector, in line with national development objectives that place education at the centre of socio-economic transformation.
Last week, Advanced Level results were released with the national pass rate rising to 95.75 percent in the November 2025 examinations, marking a marginal improvement from the previous year.
According to ZIMSEC, the pass rate increased by 1.17 percentage points from 94.58 percent recorded in November 2024, reflecting improved performance despite a higher number of candidates sitting for the examinations.
